The following information should be provided when booking:

  1. The type of pet, such as a dog or cat;
  2. The total weight of the pet and the pet box;
  3. The size of the pet box;
  4. The material of the pet box, such as hard glass fiber, hard plastic or metal, with strong and breathable metal mesh, etc.;
  5. Valid pet health and vaccine certificates, entry permits and other required documents (please visit the customs, currency and airport information on the International Air Transport Association Travel Center website).
  6. Health certificate, needle card, entry documents.

All short-nosed cats and dogs (including purebreds and mixed breeds) are not accepted as consignments.

There is a limit of 3 boxes (cages) per flight.

◆ Boxes (cages) with a total length, width and height exceeding 292 cm (115 inches) or pets with a box (cage) total weight exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs) are not accepted.

◆ According to the opinions of professional veterinarians, the following short-nosed dog breeds are more susceptible to environmental sanitation conditions than other breeds from June 1 to September 30 each year. Even if you carry short-nosed dog breeds at times other than the above, please be aware that hot days may affect the health of your pet.

◆ Since pets cannot be fed during flight and transit, we recommend that you prepare enough food and water. Boxes with water basins and food basins can be used.

Animals allowed into the cabin

With the permission of the Customer Service Department, you can bring the following animals into the cabin:

Shipping terms

Your animal must travel in a closed special box:

The box must have adequate ventilation and ensure that the animal can stand and turn around inside.

In economy class, luggage must fit into the space under the seat in front of you.

During the trip, your animal must not leave its box under any circumstances.

Only one animal can be transported in a box.

Each passenger can only bring one pet with him.

The luggage for transporting animals is considered as an extra piece of luggage that requires a fee.

Consignment

Pets allowed

Dogs and cats over 8 kg (up to 75 kg) must be checked in. Each passenger can check up to 3 pets. Please note that this number limit depends on the type of airliner.

Consignment of pets with collapsed nose is prohibited

On flights operated by Air France, it is prohibited to transport pets with noses (such as pugs, boxers, bulldogs, Shih Tzu, Persian cats or Burmese cats) by consignment or cargo.

Transport regulations

Your pet must be at least 10 weeks old** and the vaccination must be within the validity period.
